The date above will be a part of history.  It will be a part that no one ever wanted to happen, except those that can’t decipher that killing someone is morally wrong.  Yesterday a young man took the lives of a Federal Judge, a nine year old girl, three elderly citizen’s of Tucson and a Congress Woman’s aid.

I’m trying to put it all in my head and make sense out of it.  All I can come with is why?

The one thing that is killing the United States is IGNORANCE.  Ingorance of how our children are raised, ignorance in how we speak to our fellow man, ignorance in how we even believe in ourselves.

In our country, freedom of speech comes with a heavy price for us all because what we speak of also speaks to the world, as do our actions.   I don’t believe that anyone can really be held accountable for yesterday other than the shooter himself.  We don’t know who he is as a person, we don’t know how he was raised,  we don’t even know if he is mentally sound.

We as a society need to come together and work towards the greater good of our country, states, community and last but not least our families.  We are losing ourselves to hate, rage and violence more and more everyday.  We ignore what our kids are watching, reading and the most important thing talking to our kids.

What do I want to do for my country, state, community and family? I want to help those who are less fortunate than me and teach them something that will help them believe enough in themselves that they can in turn help their country, state, community & family.  I just don’t know where to begin.

Here are the names of those who died John Roll, a federal judge,  Christina-Taylor Greene, Gabe Zimmerman, The Congress Woman’s Aide, Dorothy Morris, Dorwin Stoddard and Phyllis Scheck.  When you go out keep them in your thoughts and remember to be mindful of how you treat your fellow man.
